Ministry of Interior Takes Strict Legal Action Against Officer for Assaulting Citizen in Salah al-Din

The Senior Deputy Minister of Interior, Hussein Al-Awadi, has directed that necessary legal measures be taken against an officer affiliated with the Salah al-Din Police Command in the Tuz Khurmatu district, following his physical assault on a citizen while on duty. The officer has been detained, and an investigative council has been formed to look into the incident. The Ministry completely rejected any violations against citizens' dignity, emphasizing that the primary role of the security institution is to protect the public and enforce the law fairly. It further noted that such individual actions do not reflect the Ministry's core principles.
