rafidainscope - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of two in absentia prison rulings against the former governor of Salah Al-Din for intentionally causing damage to public funds and interests.
The commission explained that the Central Anticorruption Criminal Court issued two prison rulings of seven years each against the convict under Article 340 to be executed consecutively, following his conviction for violating regulations in awarding two contracts with private companies.
It added that the court found the evidence sufficient and convincing, bringing the total prison sentences issued against him to 14 years, alongside legal measures and precautionary seizure of his assets.
