rafidainscope - The Intelligence and Security Directorate announced on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) the arrest of a Pakistani worker who had stolen 18 million Iraqi dinars from a gas station in Karbala province.
According to an official statement, field intelligence and security units in Karbala managed to apprehend the suspect, seizing 14 million dinars in his possession, while investigations revealed that he had transferred 4 million dinars to Pakistan.
The statement added that legal procedures were taken against the suspect, in preparation for referring him to the competent judicial authorities.
