Five Killed and Injured in Tribal Dispute Over Land Ownership South of Babil

Medical and security sources in Babil Governorate reported that the casualty toll from an armed conflict that erupted in an agricultural area south of the province has risen to two dead and three injured, one of whom is in critical condition. Preliminary investigations indicate that the armed clashes broke out late at night due to intense disputes over agricultural land ownership, which escalated into a heavy exchange of gunfire. Security forces quickly intervened, establishing a security perimeter around the scene, and managed to arrest six individuals involved in the dispute. Competent authorities are continuing their investigations to uncover all the circumstances surrounding the incident and to take the necessary legal actions against the perpetrators.
