rafidainscope - The Diyala Criminal Court issued on Thursday (September 10, 2026) a three-year aggravated prison sentence against a judicial enforcement officer and another employee working at the judicial enforcement department, after convicting them of bribery.
According to the judiciary's media office, the convicts took sums of money from a citizen in exchange for restoring the ownership papers of a vehicle linked to one of the enforcement files within the department.
The statement explained that the verdict was issued based on Article (307) of the Penal Code amended by Decision No. (160/First of 1983), in conjunction with the complicity articles (47, 48 and 49) of the law.
