Iraqi Government Declares Three Days of National Mourning Following the Passing of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq Al-Fayadh

Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi has declared a three-day national mourning period across Iraq following the confirmed passing of the prominent religious authority, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq Al-Fayadh, after a long battle with illness. In an official statement, the Prime Minister emphasized that Iraq and the Islamic world have lost a major scholarly and jurisprudential figure who played a pivotal role in enriching the Islamic seminary in Najaf and promoting values of unity among Muslims, in addition to his supportive stances on just causes. The late Ayatollah's office also mourned the loss of one of the most significant pillars of religious authority, praising his long journey in teaching Islamic sciences and disseminating the rulings of Islamic law.
