rafidainscope - The Federal Integrity Commission announced that its staff managed to arrest two officials working in the Nasiriyah Municipality Directorate in Dhi Qar Governorate, red-handed after receiving financial amounts as a bribe in exchange for not taking legal measures against a citizen.
The task force formed in the Dhi Qar Investigation Office moved to the directorate and arrested the head of the violations branch after he requested a financial amount under the pretext of a building violation, where he confessed to the
department director's participation with him in splitting the amount, prompting an elaborate ambush to arrest him red-handed as well.
The arrested suspects, along with a third suspect working in the municipality, were presented before the judge of the Integrity Investigation Court in Dhi Qar, who decided to detain them according to a judicial warrant based on legal provisions to complete investigations.
