Baghdad Operations Command Raises Security Alert in Preparation for the Holy Month of Muharram

The Commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Waleed Khalifa, chaired a comprehensive security and coordination conference to discuss preparations for the holy month of Muharram and the Arbaeen pilgrimage. He directed the elevation of combat readiness among military units and the intensification of preemptive operations and intelligence efforts to pursue outlaws and organized crime syndicates. The command strictly prohibited any armed displays, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic without road closures, while organizing licensed religious processions and verifying the sources of food and medical services provided to pilgrims. The security plan also prioritizes securing places of worship and deploying medical and emergency response teams at major intersections to ensure public safety, urging sustained cooperation with security forces to combat rumors and negative phenomena.
