The opening of this road comes within ongoing government efforts to find alternative routes, expand traffic flow smoothness, and contribute to easing traffic density witnessed in the area, facilitating citizens' movement and improving the traffic reality in the capital, Baghdad.
This route is considered one of the strategic roads surrounding the center of the capital, which had been closed for security reasons and exceptional circumstances, before coordination was made to re-equip and reopen it again within the comprehensive campaign to relieve traffic bottlenecks across the capital's streets.
