Customs Seize Imported Plastic Shipment Bearing Local Product Labels in Diyala

The General Commission of Customs announced on Friday the seizure of a truck loaded with imported plastic rolls that violated import regulations at the Bawa Mahmoud customs checkpoint. An official statement confirmed that the Northern Region Customs Directorate teams, in cooperation with the National Security Service and Customs Police, discovered during inspection procedures that the Iranian-origin shipment bore a barcode falsely indicating it was a local product, in an attempt to circumvent the law. A formal seizure report has been filed to take the necessary legal actions against the violators in accordance with prevailing regulations.
