rafidainscope - Karbala Operations Command carried out on Sunday a wide field search operation covering the Ain al-Tamr district sector and the outskirts of Razaza Lake, aimed at enhancing security stability in the province.
A security source said the operation came under the direction of Karbala Operations Commander, Special Forces Lieutenant General Ali Ghazi Al-Hashimi, with field supervision from the deputy operations commander and the provincial police chief, with the participation of joint formations
including the 33rd Infantry Brigade, the Commandos Brigade, and police emergency regiments, in addition to intelligence and the Popular Mobilization Forces, supported by Army aviation.
The source added that the duty aims to sweep remote areas, impose security and stability, and provide a safe environment befitting the religious significance and special status of the holy city of Karbala.
