Unidentified Elderly Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident in Baghdad

The Ali Salih area in the capital, Baghdad, witnessed a tragic hit-and-run incident on Tuesday, resulting in the death of an elderly man while he was attempting to cross the road toward the Tobchi area. Security and local sources reported that the driver of the vehicle involved fled to an unknown destination, leaving the victim at the scene. The victim's identity remains unknown, as no official documents were found in his possession; he was only seen wearing traditional attire (a grey dishdasha). Relevant authorities renewed their calls for drivers to adhere to legal speed limits, particularly in densely populated residential areas, to protect citizens' lives and prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate accidents.
