rafidainscope - The Permanent National Committee for Regulating Weapons and Restricting Them to State Hands continued its field efforts to consolidate security and community stability, recording prominent achievements during the past period represented by registering the weapons of tens of
thousands of citizens and seizing large quantities of weapons and explosive materials.
The head of the Public Relations and Government Communication Authority explained that the campaign resulted in registering the weapons of more than thirty-eight thousand citizens, in addition to seizing thousands of pieces of light weapons and their various ammunition supplies.
He added that the procedures also included seizing missiles, bombs, and highly dangerous explosive materials, alongside withdrawing unlicensed weapons from some civil institutions, stressing that these efforts seek to enhance the rule of law and protect citizens.
