A child lost his life and six others were injured, one in intensive care, today, Friday (May 1, 2026), in a horrific collision accident south of Sulaymaniyah province. Medical sources confirmed that the accident occurred on the road linking Klar
and Darbandikhan, and that ambulances rushed to the scene to transport the injured to the nearest hospital. Preliminary traffic investigations suggested that excessive speed and loss of vehicle control were behind this tragedy, as local authorities repeatedly warn of the
dangers of mountain roads and urge adherence to traffic regulations.
