The General Traffic Directorate announced the success of its comprehensive traffic plan dedicated to organizing the movement of pilgrims and vehicles during the Ashura ceremonies in the holy governorate of Karbala. Official statistics confirmed the entry of over 198,000 diverse
vehicles into the governorate with exceptional traffic fluidity. The Directorate noted a full success rate in the reverse transportation plan, alongside a significant decrease in traffic violations and a total absence of accidents or injuries within the governorate during the
visit. Measures included securing numerous traffic intersections and deploying radar systems to ensure the safety of millions of pilgrims and efficiently manage their movement.
