Divorce rates in Iraq are experiencing a notable increase, raising serious concerns about the impact on family and social stability. Specialized field studies encompassing courts and broad demographic samples have identified six primary factors fueling this trend. Economic challenges, including
unemployment and living pressures, top the list, followed by "electronic infidelity" linked to the misuse of social media. Other contributing factors include family interference, early marriage, substance abuse, and the influence of foreign behaviors promoted via digital platforms. Social researchers
have called for comprehensive awareness programs involving relevant institutions to promote a culture of family dialogue and curb social disintegration.
