Authorities in the southern electricity transmission sector announced the success of engineering and technical teams in resolving an emergency technical fault at the Petro station in Basra province. The statement clarified that the malfunction affected a current transformer, leading to
the disconnection of several strategic lines. However, the rapid response enabled maintenance crews to isolate the fault and restore all transformers and lines to service, returning the power grid to its full operational capacity.
