The Ministry of Interior announced a significant 18% reduction in crime rates across the country during the first half of the current year compared to previous periods. In a press conference, the Ministry’s official spokesperson stated that security operations resulted
in the seizure of approximately two tons of narcotics and the arrest of over 3,500 individuals on drug-related charges, with dozens receiving capital and life sentences. Furthermore, the Ministry executed 17 international operations in coordination with neighboring countries to dismantle
regional smuggling networks. The security report also highlighted the arrest of hundreds of suspects involved in tribal disputes, promoting extremist ideologies, antiquities smuggling, cyber-extortion, and financial fraud, alongside registering over 2.6 million traffic violations to enforce public order.
