Ministry of Health Destroys Large Quantities of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Under Judicial Supervision

The Ministry of Health announced the destruction of approximately 239 kilograms of narcotic substances, in addition to thousands of psychotropic pills and strictly controlled medical substances, which were stored at the Forensic Medicine Directorate. The destruction process was conducted in accordance with health and environmental standards inside specialized incinerators reaching temperatures of 1000 degrees Celsius, ensuring the complete chemical eradication of the materials. The operation was carried out under the supervision of a specialized governmental and judicial committee, comprising representatives from the Supreme Judicial Council, Border Forces Command, as well as customs and security authorities, as part of national efforts aimed at combating the spread of the drug epidemic and mitigating its impact.
