The Minister of Health, Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, has announced an increase in the salaries of 2024 medical and health college contract graduates to 600,000 Iraqi Dinars, confirming that their transition to permanent status will be integrated into the 2027 general
budget. The minister explained that the ministry, in coordination with the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, amended the previous government decree to adjust the contract values from 400,000 to 600,000 Iraqi Dinars. He added that directives have been
issued to include permanent employment allocations in the 2027 budget proposal, while the ministry continues its efforts to find comprehensive solutions for remaining medical and health graduates covered by employment laws.
