The Iraqi Prime Minister affirmed that Iraq, through the unity of its people, the sovereignty of its state, and the courage of its citizens, will remain stronger than all wounds and greater than any conspiracies woven against it. This came
during the inauguration of an artwork documenting the "Speicher" tragedy, where the government commemorated this painful event as a deep wound in the national conscience. The governmental statement explained that this horrific crime proved that terrorism does not rely solely
on weapons but infiltrates through the loopholes of corruption, weak institutions, lack of vigilance, and negligence in performing duties. The Prime Minister pointed out that extremist forces sought through this crime to destroy the concept of the state, shatter the
citizen's trust in their homeland, and turn the tragedy into societal division. However, they failed miserably in the face of the martyrs' sacrifices, which triumphed over the language of hatred and terrorist plots. The government concluded its statement by emphasizing
that true fidelity to the blood of the martyrs is embodied in the earnest work to build a strong, just state capable of protecting its citizens and preserving their dignity.
