On Saturday, May 30, 2026, MP Raad Al-Dahlaki held the Ministry of Oil and relevant government authorities fully responsible for the exacerbation and persistence of the gasoline shortage crisis in Diyala Governorate over the past several months. In an official
statement, the MP criticized the governmental shortcomings and weak response in finding radical solutions to this crisis, which has cast a shadow over citizens' daily lives and caused disruptions to public interests. Al-Dahlaki called for an immediate and comprehensive investigation
to determine the causes of this ongoing failure and to hold the negligent parties accountable. He also stressed the necessity of immediate intervention to increase the governorate's allocated fuel quota in order to end the residents' suffering and stabilize the
supply situation.
