Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zeidi received a delegation representing rotating resident doctors working across various Ministry of Health institutions. The Prime Minister's Media Office confirmed the meeting, which aimed to discuss the doctors' conditions and the challenges they face
in the workplace. This governmental move comes as senior resident doctors across all provinces announced their intention to initiate a comprehensive suspension of hospital duties if their demands—which they describe as legitimate and guaranteed by legal and constitutional frameworks—are not
immediately met, presenting the health sector with urgent organizational challenges.
