rafidainscope - The Federal Integrity Commission called on Sunday for activating internal audit and oversight work in execution departments to protect public funds and curb corruption, pointing to the detection of a major defect in archive preservation and delays in disbursing dues at the Kadhimiya execution department.
The commission said in a statement that a team from its Prevention Department, during its follow-up of the Kadhimiya execution department, detected the deterioration of files and records and their lack of electronic archiving, which exposes them to damage or
loss and creates an environment for blackmailing citizens and the spread of bribery, stressing the need for comprehensive digital transformation and providing electronic payment tools.
The report addressed to the Presidencies of the Cabinet and Justice noted severe overcrowding, shortcomings in guidance boards, and staff shortages, in addition to delays of more than two months in sending employee deduction dues and child expenses by several
ministries, including Defense and Karkh Third Education, calling for strengthening staffing and obliging ministries to adhere to set disbursement deadlines.
