In a qualitative security operation based on precise intelligence information, security forces in the capital, Baghdad, managed to arrest a dangerous wanted individual involved in murders committed during 2007 and 2008. The field efforts of the Rusafa Police resulted in
locating the suspect's hiding place in one of the capital's outskirts and apprehending him. Upon cross-referencing security data in the central database, it was confirmed that previous arrest warrants had been issued against him under Article 406 (Premeditated Murder), in
addition to an active absentee death sentence by hanging. The detainee has been placed in custody pending the completion of legal and judicial procedures and his transfer to the competent authorities for the execution of the sentence.
