Civil Defense Controls Fire at Al-Numan Hospital in Baghdad, Rescuing 6 Premature Infants

The Ministry of Interior announced on Friday that Civil Defense teams successfully evacuated and rescued six premature infants following a fire that broke out in the neonatal unit at Al-Numan Hospital in Baghdad, with no casualties reported. In an official statement, Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Ministry's Relations and Media Department, confirmed that the fire was caused by a malfunction in an indoor air conditioning unit. He emphasized that the rapid intervention of specialized teams led to the complete containment of the incident in record time, ensuring the safety of the infants and preventing any loss of life.
