Discussions to Develop Zurbatiya Border Crossing and Enhance Preparations for Pilgrims

The Chairman of the Border Ports Commission, Omar Adnan Al-Waili, received the Governor of Wasit, Ali Hassan Salimun, at the Commission's headquarters in Baghdad to discuss ways to develop the Zurbatiya border crossing and elevate the level of services provided. The meeting addressed the importance of upgrading the crossing's infrastructure to accommodate passenger traffic and commercial exchange, as well as discussing proactive plans to ensure smooth transit and provide optimal services during mass pilgrimage seasons. Both sides emphasized their commitment to joint cooperation between the Commission and local governments to develop vital ports and facilitate procedures for pilgrims.
