The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced its success in securing the passage of hundreds of commercial vessels and millions of barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz, despite detecting dozens of attacks targeting maritime navigation in recent months.
In an official statement, CENTCOM accused regional actors of endangering the lives of sailors and undermining global freedom of navigation through unjustified attacks. The statement confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to global trade, thanks to ongoing military
operations targeting operations centers, naval capabilities, and logistical infrastructure, with the aim of neutralizing threats against commercial shipping in vital waterways.
