Minister of Electricity Ali Saadi Wahib issued strict and urgent directives on Tuesday to all sectors of the ministry to address lost electrical energy and resolve bottlenecks in the national grid, coinciding with rising temperatures and increased summer loads. The
ministry confirmed in an official statement that the measures include executing emergency maintenance campaigns, responding rapidly to citizen complaints, and removing illegal connections from the network. The directives also emphasized the rapid reintegration of several generating units and transmission lines
into service to ensure stable supply hours. The Minister stressed the need to mobilize all engineering and technical staff for round-the-clock fieldwork to improve service quality and mitigate the impact of limited imported fuel supplies.
