Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation in various fields with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Baghdad, Alicia Rico Pérez.
During the meeting held in Baghdad, Al-Araji affirmed Iraq's constitutional commitment to preventing its territory from being used as a launchpad for aggression or attacks against neighboring countries. He emphasized the Iraqi government's pursuit of balanced international relations based on
mutual respect and its support for dialogue and diplomacy to foster regional stability and uphold the rule of law.
For her part, the Spanish Ambassador expressed her country's desire to strengthen cooperation with Iraq, particularly in political, economic, and security matters, including counter-terrorism efforts. She reiterated the support of Spain and the European Union for diplomatic solutions and endeavors aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region.
