Traffic Directorate Issues Preventive Guidelines for Drivers Amid Soaring Temperatures

The General Traffic Directorate has issued directives for drivers to adhere to preventive safety measures during the summer season to cope with the significant rise in temperatures, aiming to reduce accidents and fires while ensuring the safety of road users. Supervised by the Senior Deputy Minister of Interior and the Director General of Traffic, the Directorate emphasized the importance of regular vehicle inspections, warning against leaving flammable materials such as gas canisters, perfumes, and lighters inside vehicles. Furthermore, it called for ensuring the availability of fire extinguishers, inspecting tires, refueling at official stations, and monitoring coolant and engine oil levels to guarantee vehicle efficiency.
