The Police Command in Maysan Governorate announced the execution of a qualitative security operation aimed at containing an armed conflict that erupted due to previous disputes in the south of the governorate. The Command stated that a joint force from
the police and the army imposed a tight security cordon around the incident site and carried out a series of raids, resulting in the arrest of one of the main individuals involved in the shooting. The operation also culminated in
the confiscation of various weapons and ammunition used in the conflict, while the suspect was referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures against him.
