The security team accompanying a commercial cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden successfully thwarted an attempt by a suspicious boat carrying armed individuals to approach the vessel on Saturday, marking the second incident of its kind in the area
within less than 24 hours. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that the ship's crew fired warning shots after the boat came in close proximity, forcing the armed men to alter their course and retreat. The authority has
issued warnings to navigating vessels to exercise extreme caution and immediately report any suspicious activities, concurrently with the relevant authorities launching official investigations to determine the circumstances of these recurring incidents.
