Informed sources revealed measures to reduce water releases from the Mosul Dam into the Tigris River to 750 cubic meters per second, down from a stable 1000 cubic meters per second in recent days. This technical procedure is part of
the water resources management policy, implemented in response to the decline in water inflows from Turkey into the dam's reservoir. Relevant authorities explained that adjusting the discharge rates aims to maintain the balance of the strategic water reserve and ensure
its sustainability to meet various water needs, given the ongoing challenges Iraq faces due to declining river water levels.
