The health sector in Nineveh Governorate inaugurated a new medical facility specializing in cancer treatment, representing a qualitative addition to the health infrastructure in the north of the country. The opening of this hospital comes in response to the urgent need long suffered by residents of liberated provinces, who were forced to travel long distances to the capital Baghdad for treatment. The hospital contains advanced units for chemotherapy and radiotherapy, in addition to diagnostic laboratories equipped with modern examination devices. The Minister of Health affirmed that this project will not be the last, but is part of a comprehensive plan to establish similar centers in Kirkuk, Anbar, and Salah al-Din, aiming to achieve justice in distributing health services across all parts of the homeland. Residents hope this project will be the beginning of a comprehensive health renaissance in the region.
