Nineveh Opens Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital to Advance Specialized Healthcare

The local administration in Nineveh Governorate has officially announced the opening of the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital, which has now begun receiving patients. This strategic step aims to alleviate the burden on cancer patients and end their suffering of having to travel outside the governorate or abroad for necessary medical care. The medical facility is classified as one of the most prominent qualitative healthcare projects in Iraq. It consists of three floors with a capacity of 100 beds and includes 33 isolation rooms that meet global health standards. Furthermore, the hospital is equipped with the latest medical technologies, notably three linear accelerators for tumor treatment, a Hot Lab, and a Positron Emission Tomography (PET Scan) device, significantly enhancing the efficiency of the therapeutic services provided.
