The Ministry of Transport announced the continuation of reverse transportation operations for pilgrims in the holy governorate of Karbala following the conclusion of the Ashura ceremonies. The Ministry confirmed the mobilization of all logistical capacities to ensure the smooth return
of pilgrims to the capital, Baghdad, and other governorates. The strategic plan included the deployment of 250 modern buses, allocating 100 buses to the Baghdad axis and 150 to the Karbala axis, representing a 25% increase to accommodate the growing
number of visitors. Relevant authorities indicated that services will operate around the clock until the city is fully evacuated, ensuring pilgrims reach their destinations safely.
