Ministry of Trade Thwarts Industrial Fraud and Confiscates Spoiled Foodstuffs in Karbala

rafidainscope - The Ministry of Trade announced the seizure of a factory involved in commercial fraud by adulterating and packaging tea, in addition to confiscating quantities of expired foodstuffs in Karbala Governorate. The Ministry’s Commercial and Financial Control Directorate, in coordination with security agencies, revealed that the factory was packing tea from unknown sources into bags bearing counterfeit commercial brands to deceive consumers. The operation also resulted in the seizure of expired frozen meat, dairy products, and canned goods. All legal measures have been taken against the violators, and the seized items were referred to the relevant authorities in accordance with official procedures to ensure consumer protection.
