Iraqi Judiciary Releases July Statistics on Human Trafficking and Residency Violations

rafidainscope - The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Tuesday the official criminal statistics for last July, recording 167 cases of human trafficking crimes, led by Basra Governorate with 73 cases, followed by Al-Karkh and Al-Rusafa. The statistics also showed 384 cases related to violations of the Foreigners Residence Law, primarily concentrated in the courts of Baghdad and Wasit. In a related context, the courts recorded 16 suicide cases across various governorates during the same month, with Nineveh topping the list.
