A report by Mada Al-Rafidain News confirmed that Iraq has turned into an indirect clash zone in the ongoing war between the United States and Iran. Sovereign and economic institutions have become declared targets for armed factions.
Tehran is adopting an "expanding arenas" strategy to alleviate pressure, increasing the frequency of mutual attacks. Targets included US bases in Baghdad and Erbil, alongside strikes on oil infrastructure.
Systematic assassinations also targeted prominent field commanders in an attempt to sever coordination and command lines within the armed factions.
