Security authorities in Salah al-Din Governorate continue to impose strict measures around Amerli Lake, east of the governorate, including a comprehensive ban on fishing and civilian entry for the 18th consecutive month. The local administration in the Amerli district clarified
that this preventive measure is part of a meticulous security strategy aimed at protecting citizens' lives, given the region's vast geographical expanse and complex terrain. Concerned authorities confirmed that the intensive security deployment around the lake has contributed to notable
stability; however, maintaining the ban is deemed a tactical necessity to thwart any potential movements by sleeper cells. While the area enjoys security stability, calls continue for an approach that balances maximum security requirements with the economic and livelihood needs
