Basra Governor Stresses the Necessity of Activating and Developing the Health Insurance System in the Province

The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, emphasized on Saturday the importance of moving forward with the implementation and development of a comprehensive health insurance system in the province. He explained that this system represents a fundamental pillar to ensure citizens receive integrated medical care, especially in emergencies and cases of chronic diseases. Al-Eidani pointed out the local government's full support for efforts to improve the health sector, confirming that public health institutions possess the infrastructure and qualified personnel to handle health insurance requirements according to international standards, which will positively reflect on the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
