Baghdad, Capital of Digital Transformation: International Conference Discusses Future of E-Governance

Under the slogan "Building Data Infrastructure," Baghdad hosted, according to extensive coverage by Mada Al-Rafidayn News, an international conference bringing together communications ministers and experts from over 30 countries. Sessions focused on the unique challenges facing Iraq in automating the government sector, most notably data fragmentation and weak network interconnection between institutions. The conference concluded with a recommendation to form a higher council for digital transformation with executive powers to ensure technological projects do not remain theoretical, while focusing on raising cybersecurity awareness among employees.
