rafidainscope - The Diyala Police Command announced on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) that three suspects had been arrested in Khanaqin district with more than one kilogram of crystal meth in their possession.
According to an official statement, units from the Directorate of Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, in cooperation with police command units, managed to apprehend the three suspects, two of whom hold foreign nationality.
The statement added that the operation resulted in the seizure of 1 kilogram and 65 grams of crystal meth, noting that the suspects were detained under Article 28 of the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law, with all necessary legal measures taken against them.
The command affirmed that its campaigns to pursue drug traffickers and dealers and to cut off their sources of supply remain ongoing.
