Thwarting an Attempt to Smuggle Medical Supplies by a Passenger at Basra International Airport

The Border Ports Authority announced on Friday that the Basra International Airport Directorate successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle unauthorized human medicines and medical packaging. In an official statement, the Directorate clarified that the confiscation took place in the arrivals hall after inspecting the luggage of an Iraqi passenger, who was found in possession of the medicines without official approvals from the Ministry of Health or medical reports proving personal use. A formal seizure report was issued, and the passenger, along with the confiscated items, was handed over to the relevant security authorities for legal action.
