the region. Official sources reported that the extended meeting addressed initiatives to halt military escalation, along with reviewing strategies to enhance peace and security in West Asia. For its part, the Pakistani military confirmed that this visit is part of
ongoing mediation efforts. Diplomatically, efforts are still underway to arrange a new round of negotiations, amid previous US assertions that the primary goal remains ensuring Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.
