Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi paid an official visit to the Iranian capital, Tehran, heading a high-level government delegation to meet with senior officials and strengthen bilateral relations. During his talks, the Prime Minister emphasized that both countries are strategic
partners bound by a shared destiny, highlighting the close connection between their security and futures. On their part, Iranian authorities reiterated their firm stance to continue security measures and military strikes against any movements targeting their territory from border areas.
The visit culminated in the signing of a package of strategic agreements, including various security and economic memorandums of understanding, in addition to establishing a twinning agreement between the capitals, Baghdad and Tehran.
