The Baghdad Governorate has launched a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at "correcting the municipal course" and boosting local revenues in the capital. The new plan subjects service departments to a strict monthly evaluation system to measure completion rates and address
shortcomings in the field. It also focuses on maximizing financial resources through legal means while strictly prohibiting any illegal practices. The directives include managing municipal machinery, monitoring sanitation files, removing encroachments, and expediting urban transactions and land distribution. The Governor
of Baghdad pledged full legal support for municipal directors, protecting them from external pressures to ensure a working environment conducive to making decisive actions that elevate the standard of public services.
