Political Analyst: Tehran Imposes Conditions in Switzerland Negotiations, Lebanese File Proves Decisive

Iranian political analyst Mehdi Azizi confirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved significant political, military, and strategic gains during the recent negotiation sessions. He emphasized that, particularly regarding the Lebanese front, Tehran succeeded in imposing fundamental conditions crucial for the success of the negotiation process with the United States. Azizi added that despite Israeli attempts to exclude the Lebanese file from the talks, recent developments have proven that the Lebanese front remains heavily involved in the ongoing understandings. He noted that Israeli military movements in southern Lebanon were an attempt to influence the course of the negotiations. Azizi also pointed out clear indications of American responsiveness to demands not to expand the scope of targeting to include Tehran's allies. He concluded by asserting that the US administration faces complex political challenges in justifying the outcomes of these confrontations to the American public, especially given the cohesion of Iran's internal front.
