Outgoing Prime Minister Reviews Government Achievements in Farewell Address to the Nation

The outgoing Prime Minister delivered a farewell address to the Iraqi people, reviewing the most prominent achievements over the past years since assuming office. He noted that his government started from a "dangerous political turning point" and worked to achieve national consensus and keep the country away from regional conflicts, affirming that the government program focused on five main priorities: combating corruption, fighting poverty, addressing unemployment, financial and administrative reform, and delivering services. He mentioned that investments exceeded $114 billion, and the government succeeded in operating and treating more than 3,250 lagging projects, raising electricity production to 29,000 megawatts, in addition to bringing 22 new hospitals into service. He announced achieving self-sufficiency in several strategic commodities, reducing poverty indicators from 25% to about 10%, and cutting unemployment to 13.5%. He also revealed significant progress in associated gas investment and increasing refining capacity, along with achievements in infrastructure, roads, bridges, and the Grand Faw Port project.
